1910-1956 - A celebrated pianist, Art Tatum was born in Ohio. He was especially know for his dazzling quick arpeggio, and
ability and agility to run his fingers up and down the whole length of the piano. Art Tantum was the premier pianist of the New York Swing Street clubs in the 1930s to the 1950s. His works include “Tea For Two”, composed in 1923 and Stompin’ at the Savoy which was performed in 1953.
