Chopin began talking piano lessons at the age of six. Chopin began to compose music even before he could write complete sentences. His first published musical work, a rondo, was done at the age of fifteen. By age seventeen, his hometown, Warsaw, Poland recognized him as a great composer and a “musical genius”. In 1830, Chopin, at age 19 decided to move to France. He spent the rest of his life in Paris where he was in the mist of the Romantic Movement. He frequently gave lessons (usually piano) and concerts.
