Introduction

Another way to easily tell which section of Music Magic you are at is looking at the color of the border at each page. The border of the Introduction Channel happens to be gold. Other sections will have different colors. Below is a list of different sections or channels available on our site, the colors are the different border colors for each section.

Introduction Channel
The Introduction Channel, which you are visiting at the moment, is your starting point when using Music Magic. You'll learn about everything available on this site, how to use the design and interface and learn about buttons, etc used on this site.

My Music Magic Channel
My Music Magic allows you to create personalized pages. For students, this means that you can create an Online Practice Organizer, which organizes your practice session for a week. For teachers, this means you can create an online inventory and create a checklist for instrument-checkout and book-lending to students. Don't fiddle with paper and pencil, use the web.

Reference Channel
The Reference Channel has indexes and information about composers and instruments. You can also learn about practicing, tuning, playing your piano. Moreover, you can download the Music Magic PC Windows Program, download sheet music and MIDI files. Perhaps the highlight of the Reference Channel is the online dictionary of musical words and terms - there are about a thousand words you can search through or list.

Online Lessons Channel
The Online Lessons Channel has a series of fifteen lessons which you can go through at a set pace that is right for you. The lesson is frame and javascript heavy. You will need to enable these capabilities on your browser or download one that allows them. The Online Lessons Channel is highly recommended for beginning students and helpful for more advanced students who have neglected their music theory, rythm or sight reading. Interactive Gallery
Interactive Channel
The Interactive Channel is self-explanatory. You get to participate in various interactive activities such as the MIDI Composer, CaptionMania, MIDI Round Robin, MM Libs, Message Boards, Personal Web Page Creator, Name That Tune!, and much, much more.

Concert Hall Channel
Use the Concert Hall Channel to interact with other people. One person on the virtual stage can play for people in the virtual audience.

Help/About Us Channel
Use the Help/About Us Channel if you need help troubleshooting on something on our site that does not work. It has a list of questions for each channel that you can browse through or you can send your question(s) to us. You can also visit this channel if you want to know more about the creators of this site.

Dictionary and Piano
These two smaller sections have a different color because they are so big. The Dictionary, a part of the Reference Channel and the Piano, a part of the Interactive Channel, are so huge that they should comprise a section all their own. Although we didn't do that, we did make the color of both these sections green.
