Music Magic: Online MIDI Composer

Music Magic - MIDI Composer   Welcome to the Music Magic Online MIDI Composer. Here, you will be able to create your own music! You don't need a Java-compatible browser to create your own MIDI file. MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. It is a digital set of instructions that tells the sound card in your computer to create sounds. If you have a wavetable sound card, the music will sound surprisingly real.

Here's how it works. You'll need to specify a file name for your composition. Do not add a .mid to the name of the file. Also, preferably, the file name should be all lowercase. After you have done that, since your MIDI composition will be published on the Web for everyone to see, you can type in your name and comment.

Next you'll need to learn the lingo of music to compose the music. It is suggested that you go through the whole Music Lesson we've created at this site - if you're confused or if you're absolutely new at basic music theory. Due to time and complexity restraints, only a limited number of instruments are available. All notes are in the treble clef and a 4/4 time signature. You may only add quarter notes. It is important that you do not skip any fields. Go in order. If you don't, your midi file won't play. You do not need to complete all the fields. Piano keyboards are distributed throughout the page to assist you.
