A-1

What is a "physical regulatory system?" Well, let's break it down. The first word is "physical," referring to the body. The second word is "regulatory," meaning this is something that will actually maintain internal consistancy, or regulate the body systems. And the third word is "system," or a mechanism or process, of doing something possibly over and over.

In the case of the physical regulatory system, another way to describe it is "a system that maintains the consistancy of internal characteristics."

Pretty technical definition, eh? All you need to remember is the human body has all these different systems inside like respiratory (breathing) and circulatory(blood and heart). And there are physical regulatory systems for them all.

And here is an example...... take our body temperature. It is 37 degrees (in Celsius) and in Fahrenheit it is 98.6 degrees. There is a physical regulatory system that keeps the temperature the same.
