EARTH
Earth is our home planet, looking at it from space, it has blue oceans, white clouds and dark areas of land. It is the only planet that can support life because of its air and temperature. We must be careful so as not to upset this delicate balance and let Earth become a barren planet.
EARTH'S STRUCTURE
The earth's core is at about 4,000 degrees celcius and consist mainly of iron and nickel. These are solid in the inner part and liquid in the outer part. The mantle contains molten rocks at temperature between 1,500 and 3,000 degrees celsius. As for the crust, it is 10 kilometers thick under the ocean and 30 kilometers where there is land. The average cool, temperature is what allows us to live.
EARTH'S ENVIRONMENT
As we mention earlier, the average temperature is 22 degrees celsius, just right for animals and plants to survive. Only 8 elements already make up 99% of the crust. They are oxygen, silicon, aluminium, iron, calcium, potassium and magnesium. The area of land is about 148,326,000 kilometer square and the marine area is about 361,740,000 kilometer square. The highest mountain is Mount Everest, measuring 8,848 meters above sea level, the deepest waters is the Mariana Trench, 11 kilometers below sea level.
