Hi, Steve!

What a fabulous site!

I hope I can get tips from some of these experts.

I will link to the site in a file I'm posting tomorrow listing links to instructional resources, and I'll add it to the high school Web sites with great features file.

So many aspects of the site are commendable I hardly know where to begin. I think the attention to the visual experience is especially enjoyable both in design, and animation. I enjoyed having little surprises as I navigated through it.

The site is FANTASTIC!!!

Congratulations to your students

Hello and congratulations!

Your Web site, "Why is the Mona Lisa Smiling?," is being recognized Dr. Matrix Science Excellence February 19, 1998with the Dr. Matrix Award for Science Excellence from "Dr. Matrix' Web World of Science." "Why is the Mona Lisa Smiling?" is also being honored with prominent display as a select site at http://www.nr.infi.net/~drmatrix/award.htm with the categories: Exploration and Reference, Genius, Student Resource.

Sites receiving this award are distinguished by the quality of their content alone. A flashy Web site will not receive this award if its content lacks interest and integrity. A simple Web site will receive this award if it serves the interests of discovery, mental enrichment and thoughtful enjoyment. This award doesn't go to "cool" sites. It goes to the great sites. It's not a daily or weekly award, but an award based on presence, here and now. It is given in gratitude, with no other request but that you keep doing what you're doing.

A heart-felt thank you for enriching the time we spend on the World-Wide Web.

Dr. Matrix -

Steve, I came across your site several months ago. I already have it linked on my site. I think its on the arteducation links page. I will also probably put it down as a site of the week eventually. Right now I have sites chosen already through November.

Your students did a fine job on it. You have been able to get the Original Cool Site of the Day award which I have been trying to get. I've gotten everything else and now await that one. Out of curiosity, do you know how many extra hits your site got when you received that award?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I visited your page and it was great. Killersite Award January 1998Very informative and wonderfully designed. It also makes you think about who the Mona Lisa is actually painted about seeing how she was not recorded in the 'sittings'. I love your page so here's your award.
Sincerely,
LadySilence
