Indeed Leonardo has converted his own portrait into that of Mona Lisa. He has painted her hair black instead of his own gray and removed the beard.

In 1987 I found myself in a paranormal experience where I was climbing up a scaffold to paint the Last Supper. I was Leonardo da Vinci. I have spent the last 14 years researching da Vinci and have undergone numerous past-life regressions. Indeed, the soul and spirit that housed the body of Leonardo da Vinci are the very same ones that are housed in my present-day body as Candace. I have been writing my own book on my experiences and know that I left my palm prints in paint during my life as Leonardo da Vinci so that one day -- this day -- I could set the record straight as to my true identity with regard to gender. Leonardo da Vinci was a woman and quite posssibly the greatest male impostor the world has ever known. The Mona Lisa was my true self-portrait and believe you me, I was smiling all the way. In 1991, the FBI was commissioned by the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. to photographically retrieve Leonardo da Vinci's palm prints left on the painting of Cecilia Gallerani and those palm prints of Nicholas Poussin, which he also had left in paint, to find out if they matched. They did not. Both artists were Rosicrucians who believed in reincarnations and held esoteric knowledge of the existence of a Grail tomb. Remember -- these artists were born over 140 year apart from each other. Now, my book is entitled: "Leonardo -- The Woman Who Dared Be God". Why! Because women were never allowed to be or to exercise the act of genius. This is not a joke nor is it a prank -- it is the honest truth as I know it to be and which has been proven by my palm prints of today and those of Leonardo d Vinci's. My gender will absolutely be proven upon unveiling of the esoteric tomb.

As a follower of current events to analyze heroism and new Leonardo studies, I am pleased to see the ways in which this site integrates visual perception theories (Dr. Livingston), 21st Century exploration and envisioning with the transcendental preoccupations of the 15th Century Leonardo. Inclusion of current trends and issues serves only to reiterate and confirm Leonardo’s prescient brilliance.

Since history suggests Leonardo may have been homosexual, it is quite possible this is a portrait of how he would have liked to look if he were female.

I am back and of course, there is something new on your site. I was excited tosee your use of journals as springboard for writing and questioning. You have allalso managed to create a link from the past to the present with Leonardo and Liv and Ann's journals. How nice it was to actually see students faces as well. This must be quite a learning experiencefor them. The spirit of adventure you are documenting should also give the students much to think about in terms of their own ideas of exploration. Once again, keep up the good work!!

I think that Mona Lisa does look like Leonardo da Vince. Maybe Leonardo painted his own face. Maybe Leonardo wanted to be a famous person so he could get some money. Then he would not be kind of poor. He wanted to make himself a painter.

It is certainly heartening to see that in this era when the public is so interested about students connecting and becoming knowledgable about the history and arts, these public school students use the internet as a research tool and were able to compile an excellent digital portfolio and timeline of art past history achievements, but were also able to demonstrate higher order thinking skills and use of art and online resources as a spatial entry point to knowledge by creating their own future predictions galleries. This online site demonstrates Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory as it can be realized utilizing the internet as a cyberspace museum project.

Hi, JFK H.S. -- This is Richard Jordan, a member of the Board of Governors of the Naitonal Arts Club on Gramercy Park in Manhattan. Really interesting project on the Miho Museum. First, let me say that it was not clear where on the planet JFK H.S. is -- I figured out the Bronx from various clues. But, more importantly, at the Arts Club, we do a lot of work with students and the arts. We are a 100-year old arts educational organization that admitted men on a full and equal basis with women 100 years ago. Freddie Ferrer has been to the Club, and Mayor Dinkins visits as often as he can. The food is REAL good, lots of receptions and stuff like that, with art exhibition openings. I am planning a series at the Club for the Millennium called "The Dialogue of Civilizations". The questions that you asked are really imporrtant ones and go to the heart of the matter. I.M. Pei has received two Gold Medal Awards from us, and maybe we can arrange for some way in which we and lots of you can all participate in some event. Would like to speak with you about it, maybe even have you help plan it. Send an e-mail. I'm wired. Later, Richard J.
