Mona Lisa Select Site Winners for July 2002
Mona Lisa Select Site
June 2OO2 Winners
Levi Anthony - EduSolution
We have just started a new section on Edusolution.com. It is called Our World:
Understanding the Issues. The idea is to provide background information on some of the topical issues facing
us today, both locally and aboard. Teachers may use this information to stimulate
discussions in their classrooms.
EduSolution Forums - a series of forums
designed to encourage the sharing of ideas among colleagues. There are six forums
- one for each subject area and one for general discussion. Please seek from and
give advice to your colleagues. Some of the topics up for discussion so far include
Should we abolish the Board of Ed?
Should we ban cell phones in schools?
- Regents or alternative forms of assessments?
Remember, unlike the rest of the site, you must register with a
username and password before you can take part in the discussion.
Today, EduSolution.com reached an important milestone - 1.3 MILLION hits for
the month of June so far. This compares with a little over half a million hits last
June. What makes this even more remarkable is that the site just celebrated only its
second year of existence. Levi Anthony
Thanks Steve. I gladly accept.
Thanks for the award! It looks great on your June page! Heather Renz
My 4th grade classroom site is very extensive and has something for
just about everyone! Student work is showcased, as is our photo gallery of
projects and trips. Our great Internet web sites section has lots of links
for students studying the 50 states, biographies, JASON Project, Antarctica,
math, language arts, Oregon Trail, Geography & Social Studies, and much
more. We have our Mastery Club listed and don't forget to visit the
Teacher's File Cabinet for great lesson ideas. Heather Renz
thank you very much for the ‘Mona Lisa’ award.
I am proudly displaying it at www.filmsets.com.au where you’ll find it
if you go to the Stuff page and then click on WebSite Awards.
This 4th grade site was created in July 2001. In less than one year, Miss Hardison and
her students have developed and maintained a site that contains useful information for
students, parents, and other educators. Just take a look for yourself and discover their
showcase of student work, student web pages, class news, and much more! Faith Hardison
The site is a comprehensive directory of mental health and substance abuse services in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. We use consumer and provider focus groups and usability groups to
improve the navigation and add content. We have tried to stay "low tech" and "low key" to
facilitate fast loading times on older equipment. We try to keep access in mind at all times
while providing accurate and valuable information to people in our region. Thank you for
taking a look! Pamela Martin
My site has original photos from across Canada. It is interesting and informative, very
easy to navigate and the photos will keep you coming back!Karen Chappell
I have the award displayed on my website. -Karen Chappell
