FluidArts, a
nonprofit global cooperative of artists, scientists, engineers, and educators announces the inaugural launch of its website.
FluidArts' debut edition highlights collaborative projects, dispatches from
educators in developing countries, and a distinguished cache of resources reflecting
best practices in the area of arts and science education and literacy.
This month: interviews with educators and artists from Colombia, India and Jamaica
publicizing their efforts to demystify and adapt technology to synchronize
with their culture's milieu; examples of the organization's
initiating work with students as designers, translators,
writers, artists, and mentors; and information about FAs
development of WaterRoots, an educational project
designed in connection with Virtual Africa's "The Spirit and
Power of Water"
FluidArts' resources are sorted for beginning, intermediate
and advanced literacy.
The organization's goal is to
promote an 'enlightened' media literacy that focuses on
and champions individual and cultural differences as they are
reflected through the arts, the sciences and technology.
