We were waiting for over 3 hours for the phone to ring and actually hear the voices of our heroines. We were disappointed when the call was unable to be made. This time the connection was missed because of dead batteries in the explorers' cell phone.
Does our disappointment show?
If so, it is in direct proportion to the respect and admiration we hold for Ann and Liv, these two 21st Century Pioneers in Exploration.
One positive of this day was our getting to know 
our new Principal Kenneth Harvey as an educational leader and compelling instructor.
He surprised us with his knowledge of Ernest Shackleton.
But sunshine and Spring lies ahead with a promise and commitment by Liv and Ann to visit our school. Battery barriers and weather-delays deflected, at last.
We will be their first stop in America. Imagine the warm welcome they will receive from their waiting Bronx bonded fans!
