Cybersurfari 99Play Lycos CyberSurfari '99 Today...

CyberSurfari Update Date: Wed, 3 Nov 1999
From: swhall@cybersurfari.org
To: sjfeld@erols.com

Hi All-
I want to thank you again for your participation in Lycos CyberSurfari Fall 99. Because of your prompt attention to the timeline, we had a very smooth launch.

So far, we have 50,000 registered players and teams representing adults, kids, school and home teams. They seem to be playing consistently even though the winners of the race contest were announced this afternoon. Over 200,000 treasure codes have been submitted to our database so far and the pace seems steady at roughly 15,000 per day.

Again, I thank you for your particpation and remind you to change the name of your treasure page on a montly basis to stave-off cheaters.

Please also keep the path of your and your link functional through March 15th, 2000! :)

In the meantime, any promotion you can do to help us keep the excitement for this program flowing is appreciated! If you have not done so, please visit http://www.cybersurfari.org/promos.htm for graphics and banners.
Thanks,
Sara

TV show
Arts and Interiors with Fiona the Art Critic

Hi Steve;
Just writing to let you know that we taped the segment on your website yesterday. I hope the info I gave is accurate...I had to kind of wing it, given the fact that I didn't have a whole lot of background information to go on. Nevertheless, it gets the word out there about your site and hopefully you'll have a lot more visitors. Let me know how the response is. I edit one week from now and the show will be broadcast on Nov 10, and every Wednesday afterward for about 4 weeks. Then it will be run every once in a while as a rerun. I will try to get you a copy. Please bear in mind that my camera operator is a 12 year old girl in media training. She actually does very good for her age...and some of the angles used actually add a campiness to the show. Have you had any luck getting it put on your local station? I hope you could do that. I would really love to get some viewer response and some e-mail from your area.
Take care,

Fiona Desmund
