School Leadership Team

Sunday May 23 at SUNY Maritime Fort Schuyler

Deputy Superintendent of the Bronx High Schools Jules Levine welcomes the assembled School Leadership Team conference participants.

David Shulman Bronx Borough Representative shares the UFT perspective on school Leadership Teams which will also comprise parents and students as well as school employees.

The participants included teachers, administrators school employees, parents, and students who will be on the school leadership teams whose mission is to broaden support for public schools.
Panelists included:

• Maurice Collins, School Leadership Team Chair of John F. Kennedy H.S.
• Nora Wilkinson, President Bronx Federation of H.S. Parents Association
• Bob Jeanette, Borough Representative CSA and Jules Levine.

Martin Siegel, Bronx High Schools Treasurer shared his insights on the Team's school budget, responsibilities and the need for the city to attain a more equitable allocation of funds from the state. School Leadership Teams will have to prepare and approve school budgets.
