Dear Steve,

Wow! I'm impressed! You are quick on the response to my e-mail. :-)
I found out about your site from Tourbus. Our school web page has only been up for about two months. We are just learning but have unlimited access to internet on about 30 computers. Thanks for taking a peek at it. Your product is definitely an inspiration to all and I am sharing the URL with others. And especially thanks for the news about CyberSurfari '98.

It has been a busy school year (aren't they all?) and I had not came across that event. We will definitely be registering. I am sure our students will enjoy the competition. Maybe Montana will make its mark??

Sincerely,
Patty

And now, let's hear from TOURBUS readers about sites they think
you should visit...

WHY IS MONA LISA SMILING?
-------------------------

Steve Feld, Computer Graphics Instructor at John F. Kennedy High
School writes:

> I would like to suggest a worthy site to share with you, which was
> created by my high school students using 15 year old computers. Our
> site compares the theory of Dr. Lilian Schwartz and Rina de Firenze,
> author of Mystery of the Mona Lisa. As head coach of a ThinkQuest
> team I can say that there are many interactive learning opportunities

LOTIONS AND POTIONS

Heather Kleinman, aka the Makeup Diva, writes:

I know Tourbus readers are the smartest and best looking people on the
Net, but a little advice never hurts. :-)

I NEVER DID GET BRITISH HUMOUR
------------------------------

Julian Allason, Contributing Editor for Tatler magazine writes:

> Thanks very much for the Tourbus, which is hugely enjoyed here in the
> UK. I wondered if some of your international subscribers would enjoy
> my daily email of British newsclippings, all genuine. A sense of

> Undercover police officers in Durham are to be issued with yellow,
> baseball-style caps so they can be easily recognised by uniformed
> colleagues. - The Guardian 2/9/98

> A policeman on his way in a panda car to rescue a young hedgehog
> rounded a bend in the road and ran straight over it. - The Guardian

NET2PHONE UPDATE - CALL NYC FOR TWO CENTS A MINUTE
--------------------------------------------------

I just found out that Net2Phone, the cool service we reviewed on
Nov 18 1997, is offering an incredible special -- you can place calls
to New York City for $0.02 USD per minute from anywhere in the world!

You'll need a PC with a microphone and speakers to place the call, but
the recipient needs only a regular telephone. This special rate is
only good until Friday October 16th. Check here for details:

That's all for now, see you next time! --Bob Rankin
