This approach which has evolved naturally as an outcome of John F. Kennedy High School students hometown school page ( http://home.con2.com/jfkhs ). The Learning About Leonardo website (/13681/data/davin2.shtml) has energized classroom web design, telecommunications use, research, investigation, reporting, and literacy skills.
Among the highly original aspects of this project are:
- A student webpage and student art gallery of design concepts and electronic art focused on their (JFK High Schools) vision of design for the the Miho Museum and views/exchanges on Japanese culture versus American values
/13681/data/museum/paradise.htm- the FAQ and Dispatch Pages of the Learning About Leonardo website which showcase frequently asked questions and student responses or suggestions for further research on them --
/13681/data/leonardo.htm- Learning About Leonardo pages offering contributions from the field as a service to the Learning About Leonardo international crossector visitors

- Curtains Up --use of digital photography and webpages to photograph a local school community theater productions and design posters (both online and offline) and an online playbill publicizing and celebrating the complete community production company
http://home.con2.com/jfkhs/images/invite.htmThese varied burgeoning activities address and are aligned to project design and the objectives in a natural, meaningful, direct way. They literally use Internet capacities to realize the objectives in a concrete comprehensible fashion with products that can be shared with the public and parents.
As a consequence of the geographic diversity of JFK website visitors and Learning About Leonardo visitors (from Mongolia to China to the UK to Africa etc.) international , national and local collaborations flow and result naturally in a dynamic mutually beneficial mix.
Assessment and evaluation are built into the project with site feedback forms /13681/data/fform.htm, visitors log of guestbook, mail from collaborators, requests for additional collaboration, student workshop presentations to international visitors online and at various school and conference sites, student portfolios, student acceptance to summer institutes, course scholarships, winning of Arts Connection scholarships, and student hiring after their graduation as tech support within the JFK community.
KENNEDY WOWS ISTE continues to captivate its student creators and grow to include ongoing international , national , and local community service ideas.
