If a web page takes longer to load than you can hold your breath, than you will probably will lose your audience.
It is therefore recommended to reduce the size of your graphic images to minimize loading time. You can go to the SpinWave website to help you compress your graphic images on your web site page.

  • Animation

    • Often you want to include an animated graphic to bring action to your page. A very useful program to create your own animations is called Gif Construction Set which may be downloaded as shareware.

  • Image Mapping

    • A useful navigation tool to link you to other pages on your site is called Image Mapping. This allows you to click on parts of a picture in order to go to that link.
    You can simplify this process by using a shareware program called MapEdit which automatically calculates the map coordinates.

  • Transparent Backgrounds

    • A useful program which allows the background image on your webpage to show through your picture is Gif Web. You load your image into the program and click on the background color you wish to become invisible.
