THE MOON

The moon has an iron rich core no air, water, plants, or animals. It is a hundred times closer to Earth than Venus. Its orbit takes twenty-seven days and eight hours. All moon light is light reflected from sun.

When viewed from Earth, the moon goes through four phases. The first is the full moon. That is when you can see all of the moon. The next is the first quarter is when the right half is light. The third phase is called a new moon. That is when the moon is completely dark.
