Gemini are half-brothers. Castor's father was Tyndareus, king of Sparta. Pollux¹s father was Zeus. Pollux's sister was Helen of Troy, whose abduction led to the Trojan War.

Castor was a great fighter and a good horseman. Castor and Pollux usually spent their time abducting young girls. A cousin became angry at Castor one day and killed him. Zeus then threw a thunderbolt at the cousin. Pollux, being the son of Zeus, was immortal, but Castor wasn¹t. Pollux greived so much, he wanted to follow Castor into the Underworld. Zeus allowed Pollux and Castor to share Olympus and Hades. They were finally placed next to eachother in the heavens.
