What is Optics

Optics is the science dealing with the propogation and behavior of light. Essentially, that is what this whole web site is about. In this section, we are focusing on geometric optics. This area of optics deals with manipulating light with lenses and mirrors. We will be talking about reflection and refraction of light and how it relates to mirrors and lenses. Optics is really the most fun part of light. Holograms, telescopes, and glasses are all the result of optics.
