As a painter or a decorator, you will paint interior and exterior surfaces of commercial or residential buildings. You might also apply wallpaper and other coverings such as flooring or tiles. Decorators will also suggest certain colour arrangements and wallpaper selections to clients in order to make their house look good.

WHAT YOU NEED:

To become a painter or a decorator, you will need to complete highschool and then take an apprenticeship of at least 2 to 3 years. You should also have experience in the painting and decorating field. A trade certificate is required.
