As a photographic film processor, you will use specialized equipment to develop pictures from negatives or slides. You will also retouch negatives or photographs to correct any visual defects in order to make the picture look better. Most people who pursue this career will work in a photo store and develop colour negatives and slides.
WHAT YOU NEED:
To become a photographic film processor, high school completetion is usually required. If you wish to work as a film laboratory processor, then you must have at least a 2 year college course. People with no previous experience with photographic developement will sometimes be hired in photo finishing stores. A lot of on the job training is provided for this type of job.
