As a forest technician, you will monitor logging companies to ensure they are practicing smart logging by replanting and cleaning up after themselves. You will also participate or supervise tree planting, nursery operations and any other activities to help preserve the forests. You will often assist logging companies by creating harvesting plans for them to follow.

WHAT YOU NEED:

To become a forest technician, you must like the outdoors and working outside because the majority of your work will be done here. You also require a college or university forest technology course.
