URBAN AND LAND USE PLANNER

As a land use planner, you will usually work in large cities who need to make the most of city land. You will prepare plans for zoning, transportation, utilties, housing and related services, telephone and power lines, parks etc. Most land use planners are heavily involved in planning road systems in large cities to move people around more efficiently.

WHAT YOU NEED:

To become an urban and land use planner, you will need a university degree in urban design, planning, geography, engineering or some other related fields. You should also have a graduate degree in either regional and urban planning, environmental planning, or landscape architecture.

SALARY:
$56,000 to $59,000
