As a heavy duty equipment operator, you will operate backhoes, bulldozers, graders, pavers, compactors, rollers, side booms, power shovels and any other equipment that may be used in the construction industry. You will work on construction projects such as road work, bridges, buildings, pipelines and many other things.
WHAT YOU NEED:
To become a heavy duty equipment operator, you will require a college course in heavy equipment operation plus on the job training. An apprenticeship of 2 years may also be taken. A trade certificate is required.
