HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

As a heavy duty equipment mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy equipment such as bulldozers, cranes, graders, power shovels, and backhoes. You might work on a construction, mining, forestry, land clearing, or a farming project.

WHAT YOU NEED:

To become a heavy duty equipment mechanic, you will need an apprenticeship with at least 4 years in the trade with the completion of highschool. You may also have a college course in heavy equipment repair. Different trade certifications will be required for different job sites.

SALARY:
$36,000 to $39,000
