As an aircraft mechanic, you will be required to maintain, modify, repair, and overhaul components of a plane. You may even need to make major repairs to mechanical systems of the aircraft. Aircraft mechanics will inform aircraft inspectors of any problems they have found and the aircraft inspector will decide if the plane is fit to fly.

WHAT YOU NEED:

To become an aircraft mechanic, you will need a college aircraft maintenance course and several years of experience. Aircraft inspectors require a licence and endorsements for specific aircraft systems.
