The Muses

Bar

The Muses were nine goddesses of the arts and sciences in Greek and Roman mythology. They were the daughters of Zeus (Jupiter) and Mnesmosyne. They were the goddesses of epic poetry, love poetry, lyric poetry, tragedy, comedy, history, astronomy, sacred song, and dance. Their leader was Apollo. The words "museum" and "music" come from the Muses.
