The Chimera was
a Greek monster whose breath was fire. Chimera had the body of
a goat, the head of a lion, and the tail of a snake. His parents
were the monsters Echidna and Typhon.

Chimera threatened
the kingdom of Lycia. Bellerophon was ordered to go and kill Chimera.
He tamed Pegasus (a horse with wings) with the help of Athena's
golden bridle, he rode over Chimera and shot him. Chimera was
killed.
