Centaur was a Greek creature that had the lower body and legs of a horse, and the arms, shoulders, and head of a man. Centaurs lived in northern Greece in Thessaly. The most famous Centaur was Chiron. Chiron was just and intelligent. Chiron taught many useful things to many Greek heroes including Achilles. Most Centaurs were drunkards and acted wildly. They also lived in tribes.

Myth

One time, the Centaurs were invited to a wedding feast for the King Lapiths. The Centaurs went to the feast. Later at the feast, they became very drunk. Being drunk, they tried to kidnap all of the Lapith women. They were then forced into battle with the Lapiths. The Centaurs were defeated, and all the women were returned.
