Originally started for an Internet
competition called ThinkQuest, this site has become a catalyst
in our community to change the way we learn. This site is one example
of how students can gather and utilize the resources that can be
found on the Internet for school projects, homework, or just to learn
about local history. Through portions of the site such as the virtual
tour, the second floor of the museum now becomes accessible to the
handicapped. Plans are currently underway for special electronic
exhibits of archives that have previously been inaccessible to the
the public. In addition, the Libertyville-Mundelein Historical
Society is sponsoring a meeting of interested community organizations
to develop museum loan programs for our childrens' classrooms.
Interested individuals should contact Frank Underbrink via E-mail or
at Libertyville Community High School for more information.
