The Octopus's Garden

So, you want to know something about the story of the Octopus's Garden? Alrighty. Let's just ask some questions:

Why would anyone make an educational web page?
Well, actually, it was for a contest. This one . Isn't that a cool logo? Anyways, ThinkQuest is an international contest in which students can compete to make web pages which can be used as educational tools. Besides, it was incredibly fun to do.

Does this web page have any sort of goals?
Yes. Our goal is to teach people about that all too often ignored other 75% of Earth in an informative but entertaining manner.

The Octopus's Garden... have I heard that somewhere before?
If in fact you are thinking this, yes, you have. We took the title from the Beatles' song titled, strangely enough, The Octopus's Garden. As a matter of fact the song was the sole inpiration for the site. Doesn't creativity come from the strangest things?

Who created this site?
Three intrepid 15 year olds from San Antonio, TX.

Who created the graphics?
As to avoid any other questions about who created what, let's just say this. We created every single thing on this site. There is not a single graphic or web page or report that was not created soley by us, except for the oil spill picture. OK, and we didn't create ThinkQuest logo, but other than that...

Will this site be changing?
You betcha. We're not too sure how, but you can bet it'll be changing.

What would I do if I wanted to comment on this site?
