The Southwest

Bien Venidos! Welcome to the American Southwest, a land of rich cultural diversity. TimeKeeper: Cultures of the Southwest offers entertaining and exciting ways to learn about the Southwest. The history of the American Southwest is divided into four major time periods: Archaic, in which native peoples made the trek from Asia to the Americas. Basketmaker, in which the primitive tribes of Archaic times developed their culture into a unique but fascinating way of life. Pueblo, in which new techniques such as agriculture and stone masonry prompted even further development. Finally, in the Present time period, new cultures from Europe arrived to even further change Southwestern culture into what it is today.
