The velocity in the horizontal direction will not affect the velocity and acceleration in the vertical direction

As the example above, consider if a bullet that is fired horizontally. If a ball is drooped simultaneously, the bullet fired will hit the ground at the same time as the drooped ball. That is, exclude any air friction, and the ground is level. The bullet will hit simultaneously because the horizontal velocity of the bullet has no affect on its vertical motion. The vertical motion of the fired bullet is identical to that of the dropped ball.

Sometime, someone will use the expression "straight as a bullet." Well, it's not 100% true, why? Because anything that is thrown horizontally begin falling as soon as they are thrown.
