About CollegeMart

Colleges are located all over the world. Most colleges in the U.S. are found in capitols or central locations in each state. However there are many colleges located in small communities called community colleges.

Sometimes the location of a college can help you to decide if you want to stay in a dorm, or an apartment. For instance if you were to decide to go to a college located in a central location then most likely the school would be bigger than a community college. If the school is bigger then there is a good chance that living in a dorm would be a better choice. The reason is that if the school is big then you will probably have to move from building to building for your classes, so instead of having to commute back and forth from your apartment to your classes you can be directly on campus all the time.

The location of a college can also effect how often you get to see your family. If the college is really far away from your family then you will probably only get to see your family on the major breaks like the winter, spring, and summer breaks. If the college that you choose is close to your family then you will be able to see your family more often, like on the weekends and your days off from school. Sometimes this may be an advantage if someone in your family happens to get sick.

There are colleges located all over the world, so don't be discouraged if the college that you wanted to go to is located in a place that you really don't want to be. You will be able to find another college just as good and located in a place that you like to be in. The location of a college does not seem like it would be something that would effect what college you would go to, but in reality it does. So make sure that you choose a college that will fit your criteria and location!
