The size of a college is ranked on a scale: small, medium, and large. A small college has less than 2,500 students, and usually has small classes. A small college may not have as many extra programs, and usually is not involved in a lot of social activities. A medium college has anywhere from 2,500 students to 10,000 students. About 900 colleges fall into this category. Finally there are the large colleges. Large colleges have more than 10,000 students. A large college allows the students to have access to faculty area, and it offers a wide variety of activities.
