Involvement in the War:

Wilson served as President of the Unites States during World War I. During his term, he created the Council of National Defense and launched a ship building program. Wilson supported the Conscription Act which drafted men between 19-21 to serve in the War. After the war, he authored the 14 Points and created the League of Nations, an organization in which the United States never took part.
