About Us...

Hey, thanks for stopping by our webpage. My name is Justyna Walukiewicz. I'm 16 years old and a senior in El Cerrito High School, in El Cerrito, CA. It is a great experience to work with Adena and Desheila on this project since we are all interested in the topic and we learned so much!

My hobbies include anything that makes me happy. I love nature and spending time outside. I try to stay focused on having a goal for the future. I want to go to college in California (since I still get a little homesick). I am interested in studying pre-medicine or biological science. I know that I would love to travel when I have more free time. Since I was born in Poland I have seen the world from a slightly different angle. There is so much more that you can learn by traveling!

Wzupper! I'm Desheila Curry, one of the co-authors, co-designers, co-etc., etc., etc.'s of this marvelous website! I'm a 17 year old senior at El Cerrito High School (located in the beatuiful city of El Cerrito, California), and I love playing basketball. Well, at least I love trying to play basketball. Aside from basketball, my hobbies also include debating, baby - sitting, and, of course, reading great litereture! I'm considered pretty old-fashioned in that I'm not the "wild, partying" type, and I guess that's why my friends call me "Grandma". I'm also a "softy" when it comes to helping people in need. Some of my greatest joys come when I help my mother donate food and clothing to the families in our neighborhood, or to some of the local Rescue Missions.

When I graduate from high school, I plan to attend a U.C. (University of California), hopefully one that's close to home, like U.C. Berkeley, or U.C. San Francisco, major in Political Science, and follow up with Law School. As of now, I'm pretty much clueless as to where I'll attend Law School because I anticipate that by that time, I'll be over my worries of being homesick if I move away too far from my family. I could go on and on...

Hi, I'm Adena Young, the smallest and youngest of the group. I'm a junior at El Cerrito High School and enjoy dancing, reading, and being with friends. I think it's too soon to know what I will be doing after high school, so instead I dream about driving across the country to New York with my friends and having the best of times. Singing, dancing, eating, partying. My long-term goal is to attend a big prestigious university far far away from home--which is in Richmond CA--and have a blast exploring the world. Maybe go to Europe...

Now is probably the time to thank the people that helped us put this webpage together. First off is Justy's mom, Jolanta Walukiewicz, who's idea it was to have a place where girls can learn about themselves and the world around them. She was a great inspiration and mentor. Also supporting this page is Lloyd Nebres, who taught us all about HTML and the secrets of Apple Macintosh computers. Thanks to both of them for their time, energy, and dedication to us.
