IslamIslam is predominate in northern China. The people of that region proudly assert their belief in the One True Religion. Mosques are prominent in that region and the prayer bells ring loudly.Islam was brought to China from Arabia via the Silk Road. There are millions of followers of Islam in China, but they are still a religious minority. Most of the conversion started in the Han dynasty, these people were then formally known as the Hui. Now, some parts of northern China are allowed by the Chinese government to be governed by the laws of Islam.
