Martyrs Memorial Park

Location: Changhua
After the 1894 Sino-Japanese WarTaiwan and Penghu were ceded to Japan by the manchu government. Patriots is Taiwan put together an unsuccessful, last-ditch resistance ending with the burial of approximately 5000 guerillas in a mass grave. The remains were discovered by a farmers in 1965 and a stone tablet was erected in their honor.
