: I was wondering, when you work out and start to lose the weight...were does that extra skin go...you know the flaps..on your arms..the saddle bags on your legs..the jelly rolls on your tummy?I seen in some cases it doesn't go away..it just sticks around...well it actually hangs around which isn't a pleasant thought to me. I just want to know the truth.
: thanx ;o)
Have you ever noticed that when you breathe your stomach area expands and when you such in your stomach area goes in. When you do this the skin doesn't rip or sag does? Your skin is very elastic and for most people who gain and loose weight the skin just stretches. If some one is fat and very over weight (over 300 pounds) and then they loose weigh their skin may have lost it's elasticity and may actually need to have the skin surgically removed.
I have been over weight since I was a child, and now at the age of 23, with the help of a dietician and a personal trainer, I am finally getting my weight under control. And since I have been over weight for so long the skin on my tummy won't shrink back fully, so once I have kept the weight off for a while I am going to have to have some of the excess skin removed.
