Here is a schedule that I follow for the cross country season. Of course, it varies when I have an event coming up, but when I am training I tend to stick to this pretty closely.
Monday - 5 miles, easy pace
Tuesday - 4 miles, fartlek (on and off sprints)
Wednesday - 45 minutes of hills, i consider the downhills a rest and take them easy
Thursday - 5 miles again, easy pace
Friday - long run, maybe 10 or so miles
Saturday - 5 miles again, easy pace
Sunday - biking, swimming, or something easy
: Is anyone else here a big running fan? I especially enjoy cross country, but I am also pretty good in track events. I would like to compare training schedules with anyone that is interested.
