In my humble opinion, my best piece of advice is just to take it one day at a time. (Or in your case, one week at a time.) Don't forget, you can still eat the foods you like and make sure that they're in smaller proportions than what you're normally used to. (It also never hurts to eat a slice of bread before eating that stuff that you do like - this'll somehow stave your appetite, lessen the craving for whatever it is that you plan on eating...)
