I will try to post something here for you, as I see there is not much other responses on the board. First - you may already know this, but you MUST take in less calories than your body burns daily. My advise is to get in the gym, and use the cardio equipment like treadmill, bikes, etc., three days per week, for about 1 hour per session.
It really is as simple as that, for losing flab. I know for myself, that it is tough to motivate ones self to stay on the machines that long, but stay with it! Then, after a month or so, look into joining an aerobic class at the gym or some other location. Don't fool yourself into thinking you will do all of this at home: it seems that
when you pay to go to the gym, you do tend to show up more! :) For the diet: if you eat at fast food places a lot, stick to turkey, chicken; stay away from hamburgers and the *good stuff*. Sodas are a real problem that most people overlook. Drink tea or water instead. Subway is a very good place to eat instead of Burger King. Almost everything
is low in fat there! It's fine to eat 3-5 times daily, just be sure it is good stuff. Apples for instance, have pectin in the peel, that fills the stomach nicely, and is much better than cookies on your body. However, don't go crazy on a *no-fat* diet: your body will store the fat away if it thinks it is being deprived! The body does
need some fat intake - fat in itself, is a nutrient. Don't be afraid to at somepoint start lifting weights. Lean body mass will actually burn more calories - even while sleeping! Crunches are the best exercise that I know of for abdominals. Those muscles lie underneath all of the flab on ones belly - so to see them, you have to lose the
weight first. So Jenni: avoid sodas, sugar, the fast foods that you know are fattening, eat turkey & chicken, do areobic exercises. Get motivated! Buy you some work-out clothes, an oversized T-shirt, and go to the gym! A great magazine for women is called Oxygen - see if you can find it at the grocery store or book store. Hope this helps
a little ... good luck Jenni!
