I feel for you man! I had the same problem but then I got totally motivated and was doing 100 siups in the morning and 150 at night. Now Iwas not doing the ordinary situps Iwas doing side situps that alloe\wed me to exercise each muscle seperately. You can find this exercise in Bodies in motion .... Heres to your success!!
