KB is right. There is no such thing as target toning. To burn fat, you have to do cardio work out at least 3 times for 30 minutes or more. After your cardio you should do crunches to tighten your abs, leg ups or if you have back problems just lie flat on your back, bend your knees and contract your abs.
Crunches, curls and leg ups work very well AFTER a good cardio work out because you have already warmed up the muscles.
