I understand that having large muscles doesn't necessarily mean being strong.
I would like to know the difference between training to improve strength and training
to improve size, in terms of reps, set and rest. And what happens to the muscle fibers in each
case.
I would also like to know if I start training, what is the best weight to start with?
I have also tried the lateral pull down machine. What is the difference between holding the
bar toward the end and holding it half way through? Hope this is not confusing. But I am pretty
sure you know what I'm talking about. I think that holding it with my hand further away from each
other with not only work the lats but also my rhomboids, whereas if holding it with my hands closer
together will not work my rhomboids as much. Does that make sense?
