: Anybody know how I can focus my efforts to lose the baby fat that accumulates in the love handle area?
Despite what friends or family may tell you, there is no single excercise to eliminate love handles. I've heard people say that X number of crunches or sit-ups a day will help you get rid of those love handles.
This is not true, and in fact, if you ignore everything else and ONLY do crunches and sit ups, your love handles may get bigger. Why? Because you are toning the muscles in your abdomen, and that's where your love handles are - as the muscles become stronger, they may increase in size and also increase the size of your love handles.
Try a light workout in the morning, perhaps jogging or speed walking for 30 or 45 minutes before breakfast, and do a rep of crunches. The best way to lose love-handles is to lower the overall amount of bodyfat. Once you start burning that off, the love handles should come off too.
