Odd Jobs

Baby Sitting

If you want to work with children, or you just want some extra money,

baby sitting will work for you! Using this experience will make you

become more responsible!

There are many ways to get yourself jobs. You can advertise by

putting out flyers in peoples mail boxes and cars. You can also make phone

calls to people you know have kids, or just ASK a person if they need a

sitter!

Before you start baby sitting at night, you should have a little

experience. For instance, you can watch some one's child while they're

running errands, or watch them while they're inside and you and the kids are

outside.

Yard Work

Yard work is another way to make money for almost any age! You can mow

lawns and make between ten and thirty dollars depending on the size of the

lawn, or even plant trees!

You don't need much experience, you just need to advertise!!! You can

call people to tell them that you can do yard work, advertise in the

newspaper, send out flyers, or hand out flyers just about ANYWHERE!!!!

Odd Jobs

There are many different jobs that don't go into a category, but are very

popular!! First, there's the paper route, which may be hard to get, but is

fun. There are downsides, you have to get up really early, and it's a lot of

work. Newspapers are heavy, and it can be tiring walking, or riding your bike

all over your neighborhood! You do make a lot of money and can have

fun(especially if you have a friend come along, if it's allowed) You can get

a paper route at the office of your local paper.

You can also be a CIT, or counselor-in-training, at your camp. Usually

you have to be 13 or over, but in some places it may be less. It's a lot of

fun, because not only do you get experience with kids, but you have lots of

fun doing it! You can call a camp to get information!

Volunteering

You can volunteer pretty much anywhere, but you have to remember, you're

not getting paid, it's only for experience!! If you want to be a nurse, you

can volunteer at your local hospital or nursing home. There are a lot of

obvious answers(like if you want to be a vet), and others aren't so

obvious(like if you want to become a brain surgeon.)

To get information on volunteering, you just go to wherever you want to

volunteer and talk to someone about it!
