In honor of the35th
anniversary of the release of the Academy Award-winning
film, To Kill a Mockingbird,
Prince William
Network (PWN) broadcast two live, interactive
satellite teleconferences on
April 24 & 25, 1997. Together with the
PWN brought students and teachers from around the world this milestone event in the legacy of To Kill a Mockingbird. The satellite broadcasts explored the relationship between the social and historical context which influenced the author, and the ways in which this novel makes relevant connections to today.
This website contains primary source documents, lesson plans, and student work. During the next 3 years, additions will be made which further support the goals of the Teleconferences held in April, 1997 and the teaching of the novel.
