Humans, like Fred, begin to develop their baby teeth at about 6 months of age. Between 6-12 years, the child (or Fred) wil loose these teeth which will then be replaced by permanent teeth. The teeth serve mainly 2 different purposes according to their shape. They are used for either cutting or grinding the food.
